We specialize in Acid Etched Glass (also known as Satin or Frosted Glass), which undergoes a chemical treatment to create a permanent, soft-touch matte surface that never washes off.
Material & Craftsmanship
- Production Method: Mouth-Blown (Hand-Blown). This ensures a seamless sphere without the unsightly “mold seam lines” found in cheaper pressed glass.
- Glass Type: Triplex Opal Glass (3-Layer Cased Glass).
- Inner Layer: Clear glass protection.
- Middle Layer: Opal white for diffusion.
- Outer Layer: Acid-etched specifically for a premium matte texture.
- Why Triplex? It provides a pure, milky white appearance that hides the light bulb completely, while maximizing light transmission.
